Plates
HME INTERNATIONAL SECURITY SOLUTION CORP. offers a series of body armor plates and inserts that have been thoroughly engineered for maximum comfort and portability. Each plate is coated with a unique rugged and protective shell, giving them a distinct look and level of durability. Utilizing VCM technology, HME International produces lightweight composite plates, which combine a unique variety of raw materials. The result is a product that can protect against different multi-hit caliber rifle rounds and other lesser threats. These plates are highly reliable in extreme conditions and will not crack under everyday use. The body armor plates are manufactured in different sizes, which can be used in conjunction with vests or as a stand-alone solution in plate carriers.
When a single bullet strikes a typical monolithic ceramic, commonly used in the body armor plates, it can cause severe cracking and fragmentation. This can reduce the plate's ability to stop additional rounds. Armor's composite material, however, withstands multiple impacts without fragmentation or crack dissemination.
