TASER CDPM

Today TASER® Electronic Control Devices (ECD’s) are deployed in more than 40 countries worldwide and more than 400,000 law enforcement officers in more than 14,000 law enforcement agencies around the globe carry a TASER device. For more than 15 years, the general safety and effectiveness of these devices have been affirmed by the governments of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and many other leading academic and medical institutions around the world.

The TASER® Controlled Digital Power Magazine (CDPM™) is a new accessory for the TASER® X26™ device. The CDPM has the same function as the DPM™; however, the CDPM features a disabling safety key and wrist strap lanyard designed to secure the device to the officer. If a prisoner or suspect attempts to take the X26 device away a lanyard will pull apart the Safety Key Connection and instantly deactivate the X26. A standard DPM can be configured with a unique code and any time the DPM is extracted this code will be required before the device will function.

TASER® CDPM™ BENEFITS

  • CONFIGURE CONTROLLED DPM
The CCDPM™ is used to configure a TASER® X26™ device to require an activation code to be entered when a CDPM or regular DPM is inserted or when the safety key is detached from the CDPM.
  • DE-CONFIGURE CONTROLLED DPM
The DCDPM™ is used to reset a configured X26 device to work without the activation code requirement.
  • CONTROLLED DIGITAL POWER MAGAZINE
The CDPM™ is used in place of a regular DPM, so that if a X26 device is compromised and the safety key detaches from the X26, the device will no longer work.
  • ACTIVATION CODE
The CDPM in conjunction with a properly configured X26 (using a CCDPM) provides a coded reactivation feature after the safety key has been removed for more than two seconds.
  • SAFETY KEY
When the safety key is detached from the CDPM, the X26 device will not function. If the X26 has been programmed with a 5-digit activation code then the code will be required to regain use.
  • WRIST STRAP LANYARD
Joined to the safety key which when connected to the safety lock secures the X26 to the officer.
