TASER X26

Today TASER® Electronic Control Devices (ECD’s) are deployed in more than 40 countries worldwide and more than 400,000 law enforcement officers in more than 14,000 law enforcement agencies around the globe carry a TASER device. For more than 15 years, the general safety and effectiveness of these devices have been affirmed by the governments of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and many other leading academic and medical institutions around the world.

The TASER® X26™ ECD uses a replaceable cartridge containing compressed nitrogen to deploy two small probes that are attached to the X26 by insulated conductive wires with a maximum length of 35 feet (10.6 meters). The X26 transmits electrical pulses through the wires and into the body affecting the sensory and motor functions of the peripheral nervous system. The energy can penetrate up to two cumulative inches of clothing, or one inch per probe. The X26 comes with free data management on EVIDENCE.COM™.

• NEURO MUSCULAR INCAPACITATION (NMI)
  The key technology to disable even the most aggressive subjects, NMI temporarily overrides the command and control systems of the body to impair muscular control.

• ANTI-FELON IDENTIFICATION (AFID)
  A system to deter misuse through enhanced accountability, AFID includes bar-coded serialization of each cartridge and disperses confetti-like ID tags upon activation.
• CENTRAL INFORMATION DISPLAY
  A 2-digit LED displays remaining DPM energy percentage, burst time, unit temperature, illumination status, and time and date.
